All My Little Words

It is officially less than 4 days ’til Christmas proper, and the house is clean, I’ve finished decorated, all the presents are wrapped and I have been begun baking and am still on schedule with that, and no disasters so far.

WHAT ALTERNATE UNIVERSE AM I LIVIN’ IN, Y0??!?

I mean seriously, no matter how organized I think I am, I am usually pretty deluded about that matter.

And it is a Holiday Wonderland in here. We have yet to achieve “Griswoldness” outside the house, but we’ve got two Christmas trees, one in the front room and one in the back, BOTH FULLY DECORATED! as of today. We’ve got wreaths and garlands, and fancy pointsettia lights, and knickknacks and all manner of Xmas shit. More Christmas music than you can shake a stick at. It is sparkly up in this bitch.
I love it.

Other than that, I don’t have a goddamn thing to say, really.

Imma gonna go bake ham and cinnamon rolls and bread pudding, and throw some photos at Flickr, and I don’t even know what else.

After a morning of mimosas with Loren, followed by lunch at the Baranof, I pretty much wrote the rest of the day off, doing only the bare minimum of cooking dinner, dishes, a load of laundry, etc. No bank or store, or any of the other things on my non-existent to-do list.
All this left me feeling kind of grumpy last night, and kind of stressed out this morning. Sometimes when I have this many things to do, I just shut down and don’t do anything, rather than doing some of it.

So when I got to work, I made a list (something I haven’t had for awhile, mostly because lists can make me obsess too much). I feel better now that I have more of a plan, and that I checked on my income for the month thus far (although I’m still a little concerned about where it all went, at least I feel like I’ve made enough so far) and I filled in quite a bit of my schedule for the day, so I have big earning potential for today. I’ve got some upcoming work that I am already aware of also, so I feel like I can get caught up.

I have got to stay more organized this year!
